Nilu: Hi everyone. The topic of our study circle tonight is being the world but not of it. This quote has always been very inspiring for me, but then I recently asked myself, do I apply it in my life? How successful am I in truly understand this quote? And it's a fascinating sentence, but especially in hard times, at times when there is a responsibility, a task, something needs to be done, there is a decision that needs to be made. And it's like a challenging situation.

Do I live this? And how does it help me? How fast do I remember this? Sometimes it just doesn't come as fast as I want it to. But thank God to all the tools and wisdom that as soon as you remember, you know where to go and what to do.

Sat: Well, you know we are of the world. We really are. We can't deny that part that if you're ignorant of your reality, you are part of this Maya as a human.

So we have to admit that there is a humanity that we accepted. That's what we've descended in these realms. Because when we say, don't be of this world, who are we talking to? Who are we having conversation with? The part that was born here? Or is it the realization we are more than this that belongs here? So for me, again, we go back that we don't want to make the humanhood improved, but to understand that we are not just human.

And immediately, automatically not being of this world happens. And when you look, like you say, Trust meditation, Omnipresent meditation, what happens is we are not denying that we live in this dream. But at the same time, we go back to the dreamer and we recognize that part of us.

Otherwise, it would be a task. I should not be of this world. Did I, was I of this world today? Did I act like I am part of this world? This is another obstacle, right? Don't you think it's another responsibility we are carrying away? No, it's not about that.

We leave the part that is in the world and appreciate the functioning of that part, the functioning that you're working well. But the silence that we go to, the home that we go to, is not being of this world. Do you follow me?

Farnaz: So we're not adding one more...
Sat: Exactly. Stop carrying the burden. It's enough. We are victimizing ourself, thinking that we should be better. How can you be better in the world of opposite, that you are tossed between good and bad? Right? So let's go in the elevator now and then and push the button. So we go up to the top floor where we have an overlook of this realm, rather than blaming ourselves for being in the first floor.

Nilu: Once you're on the top level, you really are not in the world.
Sat: No, Nothing matters.

Sepideh: It's such a relief when you keep telling us and you keep repeating to let go of the burdens of life.

Sat: It is a relief. It is a temporary ointment. But when it's repeated and repeated and repeated, you reverse the brainwash. We keep hearing disaster, we keep hearing blind leading a blind, e keep hearing interpretation of the religion that is not true. And now we are hearing Satsang. We're keeping company of good, with company of virtues, with company of the inner reality. And this has to be repeated and repeated, maybe lifetimes. But just imagine we went that way, now we are coming this way.

Millions of lifetimes, God knows, I don't know, maybe 10 or 20 million lifetimes we went this way. And now when I say we went this way, means that the soul lost its purity of understanding. That's all. And then now we're coming back to it. And so we cannot get discouraged. I do it all the time. I have to repeat it for myself. I have to remind myself that I am divine. Acceptance of ourself as divinity is more important than all of you telling me I am. That's what counts. So we are fortunate to be in a place where it nourishes us with love and wisdom until we are home permanently.
